Winning Horse Drawing
Feeling lucky? To celebrate the main event, we will be hosting a ‘Winning Horse Drawing’. Guests will have a chance to read through the bios of all 20 horses racing in this year’s event and drop their ticket(s) in the jar of the horse(s) that they believe will win. When the race is over, our staff will pull a ticket from the jar of the 2024 winning horse to determine our grand prize winner! We highly encourage purchasing these tickets ahead of time below.

Best Dressed
Don’t delay on finding your Derby Day outfits! Our judges will be choosing one woman to win “Best Hat” and one man to win “Best Outfit” at the event. Winners will receive incredible prizes donated by local sponsors and get bragging rights for the next year!

Help us care for the community’s care givers by attending Derby Day 2024! Yampa Valley Medical Center Foundation is creating a fund focused on supporting the well-being and resiliency of staff and providers at UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center. All proceeds from Derby Day 2024 will support this fund and help to enhance the existing and important well-being initiatives, including acupressure, aromatherapy, meditation support and more. Thank you for choosing to support the health care workers who serve our community!

Parking:

Where: Gondola Square Parking Garage (P1) – Complimentary parking is available from 9am-9pm using the access code 7276.

How: Find a parking spot, go to the parking kiosk, enter your license plate number, find the ‘Derby Day’ event name in the product list (you may need to select option 5 to see additional products), then enter the access code (7276).

*Note: If you park outside of the above hours or do not enter your license plate number and coupon code, you will be ticketed by Steamboat Resort.
