Yampa Valley Medical Center awarded Healthgrades 2015 Patient Safety Excellence Award™ for third consecutive year
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo —

Yampa Valley Medical Center announced today that it has achieved the Healthgrades 2015 Patient Safety Excellence Award™, a designation that honors hospital performance in the prevention of serious, potentially preventable complications during hospital stays. This is the third consecutive year YVMC has earned this award, only one of two hospitals in the state of Colorado to do so.

The Patient Safety Excellence Award™ places Yampa Valley Medical Center among the top 10% of hospitals in the nation for its excellent performance as evaluated by Healthgrades, the leading online resource for comprehensive information about physicians and hospitals.

Yampa Valley Medical Center CEO Frank May said, “We work continuously to improve the delivery of care for our patients and we are honored to earn this award for the third year in a row. This is truly an indication of the commitment of our entire team to keep our patients safe from preventable harm.”

“We commend all recipients of the Healthgrades 2015 Patient Safety Excellence Award. This achievement reflects an organization-wide commitment to delivering high-quality care and to protecting patients from potentially preventable complications,” said Evan Marks, Chief Strategy Officer, Healthgrades.
